  • PIHP is an acronym for Prepaid Inpatient Health Plan. In Michigan, a PIHP is contracted by the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services to provide behavioral health services funded by Medicaid. PIHPs then work with Community Mental Health agencies, which deliver those services.
