MVP Disability Awareness Training for Health Professionals: Equitable & Inclusive Healthcare Practices

 

**REQUIRED  TRAINING  FOR  MVP  SITE  STAFF**

 

There are four (4) options to complete the training:

Option 1. Continuing Medical Education (CME)/Continuing Education (CE) Credits (for physicians, physician assistants, nurses, occupational therapists, and physical therapists)

The MVP Disability Awareness Training for Health Professionals: Equitable & Inclusive Healthcare Practices was awarded 1.5 credits by the Wayne State University Continuing Medical Education department. Please check with your licensing agency to ensure acceptance of AMA PRA Category 1 CreditTM. For all healthcare professionals seeking CME/CE credits, please complete the following steps:

  1. If you do not have an existing Wayne State CME account, please complete the following:
    1. First, navigate to the CME website: https://cmetracker.net/WAYNE/Publisher?page=pubOpen#/myPortal 
    2. Second, click on "Sign in", enter just your email, then click "Create Account"
  2. After you create your account, go to the  MVP Disability Awareness Training for Health Professionals: Equitable & Inclusive Healthcare Practices by clicking the following link: https://cmetracker.net/WAYNE/Publisher?page=pubOpen#/enduring
  3. View the training and complete the post-test with 80% accuracy.*
  4. When you have satisfied the criteria, you will be able to print a certificate from the CME website, verifying you have completed the training to earn 1.5  AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM.
  5. To ensure that you receive credit for completing the mandatory MVP training on the CME site, please follow these instructions: 
    1. Be sure to complete the post-test and course evaluation after completing the program.
    2. Do not close out of the program immediately after completing the training. You must allow the website to complete the program flow.  
  6. Finally, email Nia Anderson at cp8512@wayne.edu to verify for MVP that you have completed the training requirement. You do NOT need to email a copy of your certificate for this step.

TO CLAIM YOUR CME/CE CREDITS: It is the responsibility of each individual completing the training to submit their own CME/CE certificate to their professional licensing bureau in order to obtain the credits toward licensing.

*There is no PRE-test required for this option.


 

Option 2: Social Worker Continuing Education Credits

The MVP Disability Awareness Training for Health Professionals: Equitable & Inclusive Healthcare Practices has been awarded 1.5 Continuing Education (CE) Clock Hours by the Michigan Association of Social Workers. Social Workers that wish to obtain 1.5 CEs must satisfy the following criteria:

  2. STEP 2: Complete the Training Post-test by clicking this link: https://www.classmarker.com/online-test/start/user-info/?quiz=6yc64dbe1a67623a
  3. Complete the post-training test with 80% accuracy
  4. Once you have completed the above tasks, you will have the opportunity to open and download/print your certificate. If you encounter any issues, please email Nia Anderson (cp8512@wayne.edu) for assistance.

TO CLAIM YOUR CE CLOCK HOUR CREDITS: It is the responsibility of each individual completing the training to submit their own CE certificate to their professional licensing bureau in order to obtain the credits toward licensing.


 

Option 3: Certificate of Completion

Individuals that want to take the MVP Disability Awareness Training for Health Professionals: Equitable & Inclusive Healthcare Practices training and receive a Certificate of Completion must complete the following tasks. You need to:

  3. Once you have completed the above tasks, you will have the opportunity to open and download/print your certificate of completion. If you encounter any issues, please email Nia Anderson (cp8512@wayne.edu) for assistance.

Please note: You will NOT be eligible to receive Continuing Education Clock Hours, CMEs, or CEs with this option.


 

Option 4: Group Viewing Party

You may participate in the Disability Awareness Training for Health Professionals: Equitable & Inclusive Healthcare Practices in a group setting. If you choose this option, you will NOT be eligible to receive continuing education credits applicable towards your professional licensing requirements.

If you want the continuing education credits, after participating in the group training, complete either Option 1 or 2 listed above on your own and follow the directions to receive the continuing education credit.
