Biography
My primary focus is to create inclusive spaces and opportunities for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. I began my work with MI-DDI as a student assistant and peer mentor for a learning community known as the Students Sharing Success Learning Community (S3LC). S3LC, now known as the Students Sharing Success (S3) student organization, strives to create accessible, student-focused activities and provide strategies that Wayne State University students with diverse learning needs can employ as they pursue their educational goals. As a Research Assistant, I work on various research projects that directly affect the disability community. I am also a Michigan Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and Related Disabilities (MI-LEND) fellow.
