Biography

My primary focus is to promote self-determination and independence for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. I have worked in direct service in a respite setting, interned at an advocacy network in Grand Rapids, and have been with MI-DDI on various projects as an intern, Research Technician, and now a Research Assistant. As a Research Assistant I work on various projects such as the Health Promotion Project and RRTC “Can you Hear me Now.” My current focus is being the project coordinator for the Community Transition Trainers and support 4 self-advocates as they share their lived experiences and knowledge of the Home and Community Based Services Waiver within the state of Michigan.
