FREE Motor Skills Programs for Children & Youth w/ Special Needs @ WSU this Fall

In partnership with Wayne State University, Kinesiology, Health and Sport Studies, LightUp is pleased to host two *FREE* motor skills programs for children and youth with special needs, beginning September 27th on Wednesday evenings.

JUMP UP TO PLAY (Ages: 4 - 8)
September 27th - December 6th | 6:30 - 7:15pm

  • Developed for elementary school aged children with disabilities and focuses on the acquisition of the fundamental motor skills commonly linked to future participation in physical activity. All athletes enrolled work in a 1:1 ratio with current Wayne State Kinesiology, Health and Sport Studies students.
  • REGISTER

    SPECTRUM OF SPORTS (Ages: 9 - 13)
    September 27th - December 6th | 7:15 - 8:00pm

  • This program was created to enhance the physical activity experiences in middle school aged children with disabilities. Participation in this program enables youth to acquire the skills necessary for team sports including game rules and strategy. All athletes enrolled work in a 1:1 ratio with current Wayne State Kinesiology, Health and Sport Studies students.
