New Addition to MI-DDI Possibilities Video Series

The Michigan Developmental Disabilities Institute (MI-DDI) at Wayne State University is excited to share the latest addition to its award winning Possibilities video series. Possibilities focuses on the lives and accomplishments of individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities. Each 4-7 minute video highlights the journeys of different individuals, along with their families and friends, as they pursue their dreams and live full, self-determined lives. The series comes from the vision of former MI-DDI Director Dr. Barbara LeRoy. The goal is to provide positive portrayals of persons with disabilities that inspire and inform all who view them.

The most recent addition to Possibilities features Alex. Known as "The Self-Determinator", Alex lives a full, busy life of family, work, and inclusion in many community organizations. His goal is to help others realize the positive impact that living a self-determined life can have. He works toward this goal further by conducting training on self-determination throughout Southeast Michigan.

All Possibilities videos, including Alex's, can be viewed on the MI-DDI website at ddi.wayne.edu/possibilities and can also be found on Youtubeâ„¢. MI-DDI encourages anyone to view and share these free videos with those who would benefit from seeing them.
